Additionally, SUGIZO will produce as the 30th anniversary LUNA SEA celebration "40th Anniversary Project Theme Song" and the holding of commemorative events, there will be many different ways fans can enjoy the Gundam world outlook. Also, there will be all sorts of goods and services that are in the development stages. This project's concept is "BEYOND", which means "to go beyond all things. " The "Gundam series" has been expanding for 40 years now, the number of works have been increasing, the fans generations and countries, their tastes have also diversified. Beyond the frame of the individual works of Gundam, beyond borders, beyond generations, to approach a wide variety of people, those are the thoughts put into this. The project logo is imagined as an expression of "An encounter with an unknown Gundam, and that encounter will form a new link and create a moebius. Fathom Events and Sunrise announced they will be bringing Gundam: Char’s Counterattack to U. S. theaters to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam. Gundam: Char’s Counterattack was the first theatrical release in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise back in 1988. The film is set in the Universal Century timelines and marked the culmination of the original saga that began with Mobile Suit Gundam and continued with Mobil Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.
